Final Dalwhinnie stand. The illustration from the bottle packaging were adapted to create 3D backdrops, alongside golden plinths and 3D cut text. Lighting effects were created bespoke to each pack - here, white snow themed to match the snowdrops.

THE BRIEF: To create a launch event for Diageo’s Special Release Whiskies 2019, a range of one-off malts from the Scottish Diageo distilleries. ​​​​​​​
MY ROLE: I was the lead designer across the 5-month project. From working with the Art Directors on an initial pitch, to developing design artwork and working with the production company to make sure designs were achievable and within budget. I created digital assets for promotion on social media, specialist whisky retail websites and email. I also worked at the final event with the whisky specialists. This project involved working to tight deadlines with last minute changes and strict requirements from Somerset House. 
DESIGN PROCESS:  I took the illustrations from the bottle packaging and developed these into 3D backdrops for each brand. These were designed to fit different rooms throughout Somerset House, taking visitors on a journey. Lighting was also designed to fit with each brand theme - the ocean here for Talisker. Photoshop visuals were mocked up alongside the artworks, as well as installation plans for the production team. 
THE OUTCOMES: The launch event took place at Somerset House for industry guests. This included influencers and retailers. Distillers and master blenders from across Scotland informed guests as they travelled through the space tasting the 8 special blends. ​​​​​​​
I also created a key visual for each bottle, again based on the packaging illustrations. These were used to promote across social media and email. I managed the email design process via Campaign Monitor.
